WE ARE COMMITTED TO OUR COMMUNITY HERE IN ULSTER COUNTY!
Every year, Ulster Federal Credit Union selects a local non-profit 501(c)(3) in Ulster County to be the recipient for fundraising held throughout the year. This year, we are selecting multiple organizations in our community. We appreciate the community support that we receive here in the Hudson Valley, and enjoy giving back!

MEET OUR FUNDRAISING BENEFACTORS FOR 2026
KWEST YOUTHBUILD
Founded in 1994, KWEST YouthBuild helps young adults (ages 16-24) in Ulster County prepare for their GED while gaining hands-on construction experience by building affordable housing for first-time, low-income families. Through the program’s six-month cycle, participants can earn valuable certifications and develop skills they can use throughout their lives.
YouthBuild staff works closely with participants to align their interests and goals with career and internship opportunities. Graduates receive up to 12 months of follow-up support to help them stay on track and continue progressing toward their goals. The program places a strong emphasis on career readiness, personal growth, and leadership development.
KWEST YouthBuild is committed to changing the path of Ulster County’s youth by addressing critical community needs, including education, housing, employment, crime prevention, and leadership development.

SAUGERTIES FOOD PANTRY

The pantry provides essential food assistance to local residents facing food insecurity, helping ensure families have access to nutritious meals.
Food distributed by the pantry is generously donated by individuals, businesses, organizations, and churches throughout the Saugerties area, and is also supported through monetary donations and the Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP). In 2025, the pantry gave out 60,651 pounds of food. The Saugerties Food Pantry remains committed to serving Saugerties-area residents with compassion, dignity, and community support.

MATERNITY HOME OF THE HUDSON VALLEY
The Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley provides a safe, supportive home for women facing an unplanned pregnancy and housing instability. In a caring, Christian, family-like environment, mothers receive encouragement, guidance, and the resources they need to build a stable future for themselves and their babies.
Their residential home currently serves up to five mothers and their children. Women may stay through pregnancy and for up to one year after birth. This includes help adjusting to life with a newborn, baby supplies, feeding support, and hands-on guidance with everyday household and parenting skills. Additionally, mothers receive access to life-skills training, education, financial support, and coaching designed to support independence and long-term stability after their stay at the maternity home.
The Maternity Home of the Hudson Valley is actively working to expand its outreach and capacity in order to provide a safe home for even more mothers in our community that are in need.
